In 2006 Bloomington Hospital provided regional health care services through two hospital locations, three long-term care facilities (CCI) and five physician practices (SIMG).

    Bloomington Hospital: Located near downtown Bloomington, the main campus of Bloomington Hospital holds 355 licensed beds and in 2006 had more than 14,000 inpatient admissions, excluding newborns. As the hub of regional care for more than a century, Bloomington Hospital hosts a medical staff of more than 350 physicians practicing 31 different medical specialties.

    Bloomington Hospital of Orange County joined the system in 2000, but originally opened its doors in December, 1959. Located in Paoli, this critical access hospital maintains 25 beds, excellent OB services, a 24-hour Emergency Department, Laboratory, and X-ray Department as well as a Visiting Specialist Clinic.

    Continuing Care Incorporated (CCI)consists of three long-term care facilities, each a certified Medicaid and Medicare provider offering extensive rehabilitation programs that include occupational, physical and speech therapies.

    The Southern Indiana Medical Group (SIMG), a for-profit subsidiary of our hospital operates five family practice Physician offices. The excellent physicians staffing these offices play an important role in health care access in areas outside of Bloomington. Offices are located in Owen, Brown, Lawrence and Monroe counties to provide regional coverage. Nearly all SIMG physicians are accepting new patients, and take Medicaid and Medicare and most forms of insurance.
