At Bloomington Hospital, we actively encourage family and friends to be involved in the care of their loved one. Please let us know if there are ways we can make your visit easier. For assistance, please visit one of our two Welcome Desks located in the main lobby.
Visiting Hours:
For the comfort and well-being of patients, general visiting hours at Bloomington Hospital are observed from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Patients staying on Critical Care, Cardiovascular Recovery, the Acute Rehabilitation Unit, or Behavioral Health Services will have more structured hours. Check with the staff in these areas for appropriate visiting times.
Unless the patient's condition or treatment limits visitors, we encourage up to two visitors at a time with the patient. If you have a contagious disease, you should not visit patients for their health and safety.
Family may stay with the patient after 8 p.m. if the patient is in a private room. Cots are available and may be placed in the room. If the patient is not in a private room, family members are welcome to spend the night in the waiting areas as necessary.
In the Regional Center for Women & Children we ask that those under age 14 refrain from visiting patient rooms if a newborn is present. Siblings of the newborn are the exception and are welcome during visiting hours.
At BH of Orange County, visitors are welcome from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in all areas. In the New Life Center, spouses, grandparents and siblings are welcome at all times.
