Hospital volunteers assist in many capacities.  A Volunteer Services Coordinator works with each new volunteer to match the volunteer’s interests and skills. Some of the more popular programs include:

• Hospital Greeter - Greets visitors and provides information to guide visitors around the hospital
• Escort Services - Assists new patients, outpatient patients to lab, x-ray or rooms
• Clerical - Assists staff with basic filing & clerical work
• Mail & Flower Delivery - Sorts & delivers mail and flowers to patients
• Special Delivery- Helps with short-term projects including phone surveys, clerical jobs and mailings
• Life-Line Volunteer - Installs Life-line units in subscribers' homes
• Friendly Visitor- Visits patients in their rooms to listen and talk
• Beautification Assistant - Adds special touches to waiting rooms, flowers and outside decor

Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone can! Our hospital volunteers are professionals, students, homemakers, and retirees - people just like you who want to make a contribution to their community and a difference in someone’s life.   

Volunteers are matched as to their interest, skills and time available.  All volunteers are required to have a T.B test.  Orientation to the hospital and your responsibilities will be provided.  

Volunteering is rewarding - you’ll meet new friends, learn new skills, and explore new interests.  Most importantly, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment when you donate your time and talents for the benefit of others. Through volunteering, you will help our hospital staff deliver the highest level of quality patient care possible.  Volunteers do make a difference!
