Bringing health care to you, Bloomington Hospital's Healthmobile is a 40-foot health office on wheels that could save your organization time and money. Staffed by occupational health specialists, this mobile health unit provides on-site occupational health services for employers throughout southern Indiana.

On-site services through the Healthmobile include:

  • Respirator clearance examinations 
  • Respirator fit testing 
  • Pulmonary function testing 
  • Wellness services 
  • Immunizations

Occupational Services available through Rebound
Rebound understands that reducing occupational injuries and illnesses and the cost of workers’ compensation can be a complex, frustrating, and expensive issue for employers. Rebound provides a full spectrum of services to assist employers in the prevention and management of work-related injuries and illnesses from initial hire to retirement.

Why Rebound?
Rebound’s staff has extensive knowledge, skill, expertise and experience in dealing with occupational injuries and illness at all levels – treatment, prevention and assisting in case/claims management.

Rebound’s occupational medicine philosophy is based on the concepts proposed by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the major authoritative source on the treatment and prevention of occupational injuries and illnesses. This translates into proactive outcome focus programs which saves employers and case managers time, money and frustration.

Job Function Analysis
The Job Function Analysis (FJA) is complex and comprehensive assessment of a job identifying the physical and functional requirements required to perform the job. The Job Function Analysis involves data collection, interactions with employees and supervisors, and the writing of a detailed report describing the findings of the assessment.

Job Function Description
The Job Function Description is a detailed written report that objectively and accurately describes the physical and functional requirements of a specific job. The Job Function Description is written using data obtained during a Job Function Analysis.

Job Function Test
A Job Function Test is a comprehensive evaluation of job applicants to determine if they can safely perform the “essential functions” of a particular job. This allows employers to effectively match workers to specific jobs, therefore reducing the risk of worksite injury. Job Function Test is developed utilizing data obtained from a Job Function Description.

Ergonomic Analysis
Ergonomic Analysis consists of a systematic evaluation of a specific job to identify the presence of known ergonomic hazards that increase the risk of occupational injury and illness. The Ergonomic Analysis involves first-hand data collection, interactions with employees and supervisors, and the writing of a detailed report. The report describes the findings of the analysis and recommendations for eliminating and/or controlling the identified ergonomic hazards.

Injury Prevention Training Programs
Injury Prevention Training Programs are comprehensive educational sessions designed for both employees and management. Employee programs stress self responsibility. The management programs focus on educating managers and supervisors on how to effectively eliminate and control factors contributing to occupational injuries and illnesses.

On-site Stretching Program
The On-site Stretching Program is an education and training program designed to help reduce fatigue in the workplace. Participants learn how to correctly perform stretching activities which aid in reducing fatigue and occupational injuries and illnesses. Training program components included lecture, demonstration and employee participation.

Work Rehabilitation
Work Rehabilitation focuses on treating the impairments and the functional limitations associated with an occupational injury or illness. Components of Work Rehabilitation include:
• Early exercise
• Education in factors contributing to injury
• Posture and body mechanics training

Work Conditioning
Work Conditioning is an intense, goal-oriented treatment program designed to restore a worker’s physical and functional capabilities. Work Conditioning is appropriate for individuals who are beyond the initial healing time following injury or illness. Components of Work Conditioning include:
• Job task simulations
• Strengthening exercises
• Aerobic conditioning
• Education

Functional Capacity Assessment
A Functional Capacity Assessment involves comprehensive testing of an individual to determine their physical abilities and limitations in performing work-related tasks. Key aspects of the Functional Capacity Assessment include:
• Safety is emphasized throughout testing
• Musculoskeletal assessment performed prior to actual test items
• Evaluator uses kinesiological and medical knowledge to determine abilities and limitations
• Education takes place throughout the assessment
• Two-day testing allows evaluator to verify accuracy of client’s performance
