With the advent of less invasive surgical techniques and supporting technologies, more than 35 million procedures each year — four out of every five surgeries — are done on an outpatient basis.

At Bloomington Hospital we recognize the need for an outstanding Outpatient Surgical Services area, and that's what we offer. We provide convenience, privacy, and easy accessibility for our patients who require outpatient surgery, and their families. Amenities include:

• Private pre-admission exam rooms
• Four state-of-the-art endoscopy suites
• Private rooms for doctor-patient post surgery consultations

Our staff are committed to providing excellent patient care and exceeding your expectations. We have surgeons, anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, and pulmonologists who perform an average of 40 surgeries every day at Bloomington Hospital. Outpatient Surgical Services is open 6 a.m. to  6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturday for scheduled surgeries, including electives. The area is located on the first floor at the east end of the main lobby.
