Parking and Maps

For the New Employee Orientation on your first day, only, you may park in the Hospital Garage, attached to main campus through a covered walk way.  Bring your ticket with you and we will validate it.

Everyday parking in designated employee areas is first-come, first-serve. On your first day, allow plenty of time to find a parking space and to get to your workspace. It’s a good idea to ask coworkers where they park.

• Employees who park in patient, visitor, or otherwise reserved spaces while working will be ticketed.
• 2nd and 3rd shift employees may park in the Hospital garage free of charge while working.  Employees may park on the 2 upper floors ONLY.
• There is a waiting list for all other employees to park in the garage.  The cost is $20 a month through payroll deduction.  Contact security at 812.353.9523 for more information.

Shuttle Service Information:

We have a shuttle service operating between the Hospital and the parking lot on Patterson Drive, near Allen Street. 

• Shuttles operate Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. through 9 p.m.
• From 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. we will have three shuttles providing service to employees every 8 to 10 minutes.  During other times, we will have one bus in operation.
• This service is intended to provide transportation primarily for Bloomington Hospital day shift employees.
• No weekends or holidays.

If you work past  9 p.m. and need a ride back to your vehicle, have the hospital operator page the Security officer on duty and he/she will take you to your vehicle after hours.

Security is available at the parking lot Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. to watch over the vehicles, and to provide customer service to our employees, help with flat tires, dead batteries, frozen locks, etc.
