Second Century
Second Century includes individuals and businesses with extraordinary vision and commitment to our community.  Each member has given $100,000 or more to the Bloomington Hospital Foundation.  Our most recent gift from Second Century is $500,000 to fund an infusion center in the hospital's Regional Cancer Institute.

Lasting Legacy
Members of the Lasting Legacy have provided for the future of Bloomington Hospital through their financial or estate plan.  These important gifts provide the Foundation's permanent endowment.

Remembering Someone Special
Gifts made in memory or in honor can be of any denomination.  An acknowledgement of your gift will be sent to the person(s) you designate.

Recognition
To thank you for your generous gifts, members of the Foundation's giving clubs are listed in Developments, the biannual magazine of the Foundation, and on our donor wall located in Bloomington Hospital's lobby.  Gift amounts are always kept confidential.

Ask Your Employer to Match Your Gift
Many employers are willing to provide matching funds for their employees' gifts or increase the magnitude of the gift. We suggest you ask your employer for more information.

Grants for Bloomington Hospital
Since 2005, the Bloomington Hospital Foundation has employed a full-time Manager of Grant Research and Development. During this time, the Manager has written over $1,000,000 in grants to external funding sources and nearly $400,000 has been approved. These grant dollars go directly to improve the quality of care for Bloomington Hospital patients and the health and well-being of our community as a whole. Some recent grant-funded projects examples include the development of a premature infant prevent program through Home Health & Hospice, state-of-the-art equipment for the Children's Therapy Clinic, and an Electronic Health Records pilot project to build community awareness around the benefits of health information exchange.
