The Bloomington Hospital Sleep Lab is staffed by professionals and physicians experienced and registered in the treatment of sleep disorders. The facility is fully equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic instruments to monitor sleep patterns, breathing, brainwaves, heart activity, and eye and muscle movements. An evaluation may include a overnight sleep study, a series of monitored daytime naps, or a split night study.
Studies are conducted in comfortable private rooms with a television. Snacks are provided. Accommodations for parents of pediatric patients are available. Parents are encouraged to stay overnight and bring their child’s favorite toy or “snuggly” to help their child feel more comfortable.
